In order to solve this, Active Autowerke has created a full exhaust system for the G80\/G82\/G87 which comprises this mid-pipe, a rear axle-back valved exhaust and a set of GESI catted downpipes. Together, this remake of the stock exhaust results in a G80\/G82\/G87 with an amazing sound. The Active Autowerke S58 downpipes for the G80 M3, G82 M4 and G87 M2 helps unleash some of the potential that is restricted by the OEM downpipes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTurbochargers are powered by spent exhaust gases created during the combustion process. The quicker these gases are evacuated, the better. Unfortunately, the factory down pipe in the S58 is a bit restrictive, which results in slower exhaust gases and slower turbo spool.
